Every building’s water is different, which determines how its plumbing ages. Some water carries too few minerals and pulls what it needs from copper pipe. Other water carries too many and leaves scale behind as it moves through the system. Either way, the result is the same over time: weakened pipes, pinhole leaks, and a disruptive, expensive repipe for building owners.
Hytec’s on-site AquaPlan solves that problem directly. Rather than waiting for the depreciation report to recommend replacement, we intervene at the water level, extending the usable life of existing pipe by years or decades. All treatment products are NSF 60 certified, our equipment is NSF 61 certified, and Hytec holds NSF certification as a company.
Hytec installs a compact treatment unit that ties into your building’s domestic water supply including a flow meter, a dosing pump, a sampling port, and an automatic shutoff. The meter tracks usage and pulses the dosing pump to introduce treatment product proportional to demand, so dosing stays accurate whether the building is at peak use or overnight low flow. The sampling port downstream continuously verifies treatment levels, and the system can shut off dosing automatically based on sampling data. Everything sits on a spill tray, and a backflow prevention valve keeps treated water from re-entering the municipal supply. Installation typically takes about eight hours, with minimal disruption to residents.
Each Hytec installation is built from the same core components: a Backflow RPB Valve for municipal safety compliance, an ultrasonic flow meter with no moving parts for long-term reliability, dual digital dosing pumps that communicate directly with the meter, a stainless steel injection manifold made in Vancouver, and double-walled product tanks with tamper-proof locking lids. All equipment is covered under a full-term warranty for the life of your AquaPlan.
