Hytec was founded in 1982, starting in large-scale agricultural water treatment and residential filtration, not building infrastructure. Around 2000, our agricultural clients had begun investing in high-rise real estate, which led to Hytec’s first commercial building installation. The system worked, and our team soon realized that this kind of water treatment system was needed elsewhere to protect systems from preventable plumbing failures.
Since then, Hytec has grown into a dedicated urban infrastructure business, now a second-generation family company protecting properties across three major Canadian markets. We no longer do agricultural work, but some things never change, like our relationship-driven approach and problem-solving attitude.
