Systems

We provide an on-site system that treats water at the source, arresting corrosion before it becomes a leak, and treating weakened areas to prevent failure. It’s configured to your building’s specific water complexion, and designed to extend plumbing life by decades.

Products

Proprietary treatment products formulated for soft water markets like Vancouver and hard water markets like Toronto and Calgary. All products are NSF 60 certified and paired with pH when necessary to control for consistent performance.

Remote Monitoring

Clients receive 24/7 visibility into system performance through the myHytec portal, so issues can be recognized early. Monitoring works in a passive manner to ensure the collection of data, performance and a simple shutdown. Monitoring, for security, by design, does not have the system connections to alter treatment levels.

STEP 01

BALANCE THE WATER

There’s no universal treatment product because there’s no universal water. Our system uses a formulation matched exactly to your building’s water chemistry, paired with pH control to keep the treatment performing at its best. Our program is set once and then adjusted over time based on ongoing testing. It’s the same underlying infrastructure across every Hytec installation, but the treatment strategy behind it is customized from building to building.

STEP 02

REMOVE HARMFUL BUILDUP

Hard water’s excess minerals settle as scale inside pipes, water heaters, and mechanical equipment, gradually reducing efficiency and shortening equipment lifespan. AquaSoft HW3 keeps those minerals suspended in the water instead of letting them settle, preventing scale from forming in the first place. It then works alongside AquaSoft to build the same corrosion-resistant coating used in soft water systems, so hard water buildings get the same long-term protection.

STEP 03

CREATE A PROTECTIVE LAYER

Soft water lacks the mineral buffer that naturally protects copper pipe, so it draws minerals out of the pipe wall instead. AquaSoft SW replaces what the water is missing, continuously depositing a protective mineral layer as treated water moves through the system. Over time, that coating stops the corrosion process that leads to pinhole leaks, without requiring any change to the building’s existing plumbing.

THE HYTEC AQUAPLAN

How the
system works

Hytec installs a compact treatment unit that ties into your building’s domestic water supply including a flow meter, a dosing pump, a sampling port, and an automatic shutoff. The meter tracks usage and pulses the dosing pump to introduce treatment product proportional to demand, so dosing stays accurate whether the building is at peak use or overnight low flow. The sampling port downstream continuously verifies treatment levels, and the system can shut off dosing automatically based on sampling data. Everything sits on a spill tray, and a backflow prevention valve keeps treated water from re-entering the municipal supply. Installation typically takes about eight hours, with minimal disruption to residents.
